A note about DJ applications
Our volunteer team reviews applications alongside regular jobs and other commitments. With many artists sharing their music, it can take time to get back to you. Thank you for your patience while we listen.

Your artist profile, kept up to date
Played at The Bas[s]ment? You can now send us your biography, artist photo and music links through our artist profile form. Existing artists can ask us for a personal update link. We review requests before changing a profile, and new profiles are added gradually.

Our What’s new page now collects the latest website improvements in one place. Check back to discover new ways to explore our artists, their stories and recorded sets.
Updated 29-10-2026
We keep building The Bas[s]ment website to give our artists and their music a lasting home. Here is what is new.
Artist profiles
Discover the person behind the decks: our artist profiles bring together a biography, photo, music and social links. We are adding profiles gradually. Not listed yet? Get in touch and we will explain how to have your profile added.
More sets, one artist page
Find multiple recorded sets on an artist’s profile, with video previews, publication dates and the newest releases first. Matching videos from our YouTube archive can now appear together on the artist’s page.
Behind the decks — Q&A
Selected artist profiles now have space for our Q&A carousels. Swipe through the images to get to know the artist beyond the music. We will add these gradually, so not every profile has a carousel yet.
A searchable set archive
Explore our recorded sets by artist or title, and narrow your search using the available genre, set type and publication year filters. We are continuing to organise the archive, so some older sets may not have all their details yet.
For the love of techno.
